Before leaving: preparation, looking for weekend plans in Benidorm.
To me it is one of the parts that I like most of a trip, it is not that I prepare everything to the millimeter, but if I like to know that I am going to make more or less every day, an organization (although later it is not fulfilled). But during the preparation of the trip my mind is already traveling and only with the perspective I get happy! So here we go!
First of all: where to sleep?
Well, it depends on what you want, in Benidorm you have all the options hotels, tourist apartments and campsites flipantes, so it depends on your preferences, although I always recommend that if you choose the hotel, never be with full board because you can not enjoy the cuisine of the city and for me that is essential in a trip.
How to choose an accommodation? if you are between two options and do not know which of the two to choose, ALWAYS search their website if it is a company SICTED, means that they have a standard of quality and that is always a security. This is also useful in restaurants and activity companies, always go to the one that has the SICTED logo. Here you can find the companies SICTED of Benidorm
What do we want to do?
A weekend gives a lot, you can have your moments of relaxation but also the most active. And knowing this, the best thing is just to get your electric bike and take advantage of the weekend offer (Friday afternoon to Monday morning for 40 €). We can’t make it easier for you…ah yes! easier we can! if you’re in a hotel or camping we can take your bike there for free! you see now that it’s easier than ever.
Now you can plan what to do with your bike, where to go without having to take the car and without worrying about timetables, parking or anything, just enjoy the experience.
We have arrived and now what to visit?
BEACHES: If you live in an area without a beach, you’ll want to go to the beach. Whether it’s summer or winter, it’s a breeze because in Benidorm there are more than 300 days of sunshine a year. My recommendation is that you do not stay on the Levante beach or in the area closest to the center of Poniente beach, you have your bike, so take advantage of it! Go all the way to Poniente beach and enjoy its fine sand and tranquillity.
If you prefer more natural beaches you have Cala Almadrava and Cala del Tío Ximo to enjoy solitude and a good bath surrounded by fish, octopus … take snorkel equipment and a good book.
SIERRA HELADA NATURAL PARK: Undoubtedly one of the best views of Benidorm. If you have been in the coves, you only have to enter the Natural Park and reach the end of the road where Punta de Cavall is, until you get there you see stopping for the different viewpoints and enjoy the spectacular views. At dusk the best point is the Benidorm Cross, in the highest area, but notice! even if you ride an electric bicycle the slope is very steep, you will have to pedal!
ALTEA AND ALBIR: I would leave this for Sunday morning, get up and go to Albir to have breakfast on the promenade, in front of the beach, then climb up to the lighthouse and later reach Altea by bike lane. It’s a mini excursion that won’t let you down!
THE MEDITERRANEAN BALCONY OR THE BENIDORM VIEWER: It’s the same, a must-see place, in the centre of Benidorm, with views of the two beaches, both at sunset and sunrise has a film view that will make you fall in love.

Where to eat?
If you prefer to eat tapas, it is best to go to the Barrio de los Vascos. In all the historical center of Benidorm, there are a lot of restaurants with thousands of tapas, the problem will be to choose between all the wide range that they have. Which restaurant? those that you see with the distinctive SICTED as I have told you before, success assured!
If you prefer the typical paella, some options are El Son de Mar in the centre, Arrocería Delfin and Ulía restaurant on the western beach and Casa Peter in the cove of Frinestrat (important to book in advance).
REMEMBER: we always give you plans and maps with the bike rental so you can get to all these places without problems, so there is no excuse to enjoy a perfect weekend!
